Problem

In Portugal, football is always the loudest sport in the room. But with this World Cup carrying even more anticipation, Ronaldo’s last, and Portugal seen as a favorite. After the World Cup, Betclic needed to keep that excitement alive.

Insight

Portugal doesn’t just watch football. Portugal feels football. And after the World Cup, what fades isn’t only the tournament , it’s the collective excitement sport creates.

Solution

Betclic showed that the feeling of football doesn’t have to end with the World Cup. The same tension, drama, celebration, and collective excitement can be found in other sports too.

Portugal is a football country. The sport is deeply rooted in the culture; it’s emotional, communal, and part of everyday life. With the World Cup marking the end of an era for Cristiano Ronaldo, fans anticipate the tournament intensely, but few think about the emotional void that follows it.

 

We used familiar football references to make other sports and competitions, like the Millennium Estoril Open, feel instantly emotional and recognizable.
